A new chapter.....
As 2013 draws ever closer (seriously how has it crept up like that?!) I (or should I now say we) are starting a new life together in Dubai. 2013 is the year of new jobs, new surroundings and a new blog.
Even though I will no longer be a ‘lady of leisure’ or ‘one who lunches’ or even ‘one who sits and nods with a vacant expression whilst the new-mums around exchange...

Honeymoon - Croatia
If you’re a fan of all things Mediterranean but haven’t yet made it to Croatia then I insist that you at least look into it! Hvar and Dubrovnik in particular are stunning, fun and fashionable. If however you want some more chilled out time then the lesser known islands of Brac and Korcula are perfect for just that.

Party Season Dresses
With party season almost upon us and for those lucky enough to be attending a winter wedding, there is every need for a new dress! So I’ve done some internet trawling (it’s safer that way) and inevitably spent far too long longing after most things on Net A Porter (definitely not safe) but have found a whole bunch of different styles and price ranges for a party season dress.

An interview with Belle & Bunty
This post is down to a rather cheeky e-mail sent by myself to Alice (Belle) and Hannah (Bunty), the two incredibly busy and hard working designers behind Belle & Bunty. Happily they took the time to reply and now I have the pleasure of sharing a little bit about the designers and their Bridal Collection with you.
This is a stunning collection, each dress makes me ‘ahh’ and...

A Favour for a Bride to Be
This is one last favour for the final push in the competition for my incredibly well deserving friend to win a her custom-made dream Phillipa Lelpey wedding dress. For those who have searched high and low for the one and/or struggled with realistic vs imagined budgets will know just how rare an opportunity this is.
All she needs are facebook ‘likes’ and lots of them. It really is...

This is a lovely free download ‘Wedding Table Decorations Guide Ebook‘ from The Last Detail with 30 pages full of inspiration and ideas.
Apologies for the short post but I’m hosting a girly weekend and thought this was the perfect time to put my newly acquired (invented) housewife skills to the test; cookies, cakes and beef wellington…this is going to need all my...

Bowling Alley - Jamie & Brian
If a Vera Wang gown isn’t enough to lure you into this wedding, it is also full of DIY ideas, bright colours, vintage touches and (my personal favourite) a Jenga guestbook. The whole wedding day ended in a trip for all to the bowling alley…bride in bowling shoes…how awesome is that?
Captured by Cathy More Photography she tells us more about the day,

A Meadow Wedding - Lindsay & Michael
I do love a good outdoor wedding and this one is pretty special. This is a day of details, many of them DIY and my personal favourite is the ‘something blue’ - it’s one of those quirks that I wish I’d thought of for our day so the best I can do is share it in case you are in need of a quirky ‘something blue’.
Captured by Karen Feder Photography she sums up...

Bubbles instead of confetti - Jeanne & Michael
I fell in love with this wedding for two reasons:
The bride and groom came out of the Church to a cascade of bubbles
The photo with the bridesmaid in the red sunglasses

A Wedding of Two Halves - Celia & Amit
This is a jam-packed, colour feast for your eyes kind of wedding; with a Catholic ceremony in the morning and a Hindu one in the afternoon there is plenty to be inspired by.
One of my favourite details is the ‘wedding peg’; I want one!
Captured by Day 7 Photography, Sean tells us a bit more about the couple:
Celia, an MIT graduate, met Amit, a UT graduate, while in Boston. They...

With a little help from my friends - Sarah &...
The best part of any wedding day is knowing that the people surrounding you love and care for you and in Sarah and Andrew’s case this is in it’s purest form. Not only were all their guests their to celebrate with them, they all, in their own way helped to create the wedding. Now that is something to celebrate.
Captured by JB Creatives, I’ll hand you over to Sarah to tell her...

The Church with the Red Door - Rachel & Jake
The princess bride in her princess dress just makes this wedding for me, it is utterly divine. There are so many other details to love about this wedding but for me, I just keep coming back to sighing over the dress! Captured by Amber S. Wallace Photography.

Florence captured my heart - Paula & Louis
Italy has got to be one of my favourite countries and so I immediately fell in love with this wedding shot by Rosapaola Lucibelli Photography. Paula and Louis fell in love in Florence 14 years ago and decided to go back to celebrate their wedding with friends from all over world.
There is a beautiful lace dress from Pronovias, some sparkly shoes, white flower heaven and all of it overlooks the...

The Sweetest Hanging Flowers - Kelli & Robert
I love this wedding mostly because they have a whole set of hanging white flowers but also because it is jam packed full of smiles. Shot by Debra Gulbas Photography, it is a stunning day to inspire and re-ignite a newly-wed’s emotions!

A small favour...Bride to Bride
As all women know finding theperfect dress for a birthday, garden party, Prom, Ascot races, Henley Regatta (I think you get the idea) is a hard task at the best of times and believe me when I say that finding the dress can be just as daunting.
So when a competition comes along for Phillipa Lelpey to design your custom made dress, it could quite literally be a dream come true for one lucky Bride....

Barn wedding - Ashley & Ryan
I do love a good barn wedding and today’s wedding is just that. I love that the Bride has used wheat in her bouquet, there is a cupcake table and add in some rather cool ‘photobooth’ shots and this is an inspiring wedding.
Photographer Sandra from Bphotographed tells us more, ‘Ashley and Ryan said “I DO” on a rainy day in September, but nothing was going to hold them back...
