Bridesmaids on the Highstreet
Finding something that you love, that your bridesmaids love and that suits your day is a big task. With so many designers offering bespoke bridesmaids dresses it is easy to understand why so many of us fork out a small fortune (again) for your girls to look and feel as special as you do.
However, there are alternatives on the high street. Of course you do run the risk of a guest wearing the same but if you buy them in plenty of time (and maybe spread a detailed description of the dresses amongst your guests…a subtle ‘this is what my maids are wearing DO NOT COPY’ e-mail should do it) I think that the dress/guest horror can be avoided.
Starting with my bargain find at H&M (love H&M!) for £14.99 you simply can’t go wrong, and as owner of said dress I can vouch for its loveliness.

Topshop and Warehouse offer some lovely dresses, very similar in style and price at £46 and £45.

Dorothy Perkins also offer two great value dresses, both at £50

American surfing label Hollister has this pretty white and blue dress for £50

This print dress from Monsoon is £79

Two vintage styles from Phase Eight at £150 and £99.

French Connection have three very individual dresses, £129, £120 and £135

Ted Baker has this beautiful floral dress for £139

Reiss have the bold blues at £189 and £225

J.Crew offer these beautiful and perfect bridesmaids dresses but at £194 in the UK I would be tempted to make them the perfect excuse for a holiday to NYC to buy these!
