Monique Lhuillier - Bridesmaids 2013

These dresses from Monique Lhuillier are stunning.

I especially love the print dresses that have been included in the new collection - a growing trend for Bridesmaids? I do hope so.

Bridesmaids

Same same or different?

There are so many ways to style your bridesmaids that I wanted to gather some pictures to help you.

I decided to let my 4 sisters choose their dresses (potentially a lethal idea) but it worked for us and we have ended up with 4 different dresses.

However, keeping your bridesmaids looking the same is timeless and you can have a lot of fun with it - you could keep the same colour and have different styles to suit different shapes or you could choose the same style and have your girls pick out their favourite colour each  (in line with what you were thinking of course).

Colour Mix Match

I think I nearly gave my mother a heart attack when I told her that I didn’t want a colour ‘theme’ nor did I particularly want my bridesmaids to look the same. ‘But, how will people know that they’re bridesmaids’ she asked with genuine shock/worry.

Sometimes sticking to your instinct is harder than it sounds. Everyone has certain expectations for the day and regardless of the ‘it’s your day’ mantra, it is often followed with a gentle, ‘but, normally….’ Well I was adamant on the girl’s dresses. Firstly all four are my younger sisters and they would never forgive me if I dressed them like Russian dolls; they range in age from 11 – 24 and have completely different body types and ideas about what colours suits them. More than anything, I wanted to ensure that they felt comfortable on the day and are as excited as I am about wearing their dresses. Here are the dresses they chose….
