Candles
I love candlelight (mainly for the flattering effect on ones face) and so I got rather carried away on my quest to find some candle inspiration so there are 2 mood-boards on candles. A brighter person would be able to stitch these together but alas I am not that computer literate.
Whether you float them, stick them in a bottle, cut off the bottom of a bottle and have them inside (love this), hang them or jar them candlelight has the ability to completely transform a room (and more importantly ensure that you look romantically beautiful in all your pictures).

The Church with the Red Door - Rachel & Jake
The princess bride in her princess dress just makes this wedding for me, it is utterly divine. There are so many other details to love about this wedding but for me, I just keep coming back to sighing over the dress! Captured by Amber S. Wallace Photography.

The Sweetest Hanging Flowers - Kelli & Robert
I love this wedding mostly because they have a whole set of hanging white flowers but also because it is jam packed full of smiles. Shot by Debra Gulbas Photography, it is a stunning day to inspire and re-ignite a newly-wed’s emotions!

38 days to go…..
We’re down to the final weeks now which means my excitement levels are through the roof (it has also meant that I finally have the fear to dedicate some time to the likes of spinning and body pump…too little too late perhaps but it feels good all the same).
As the days continue I gradually tick things off the list(s); I’ve never been so organised that I work from just one list, five scattered around the house is more my style.
My most excitable ‘achievement’ this weekend was my Friday night outfit. Bicester Village is my second love and like an obedient wife I obey and succumb to its charms…
Here is a sneak peek at my Friday wardrobe:

Plus they double up for the honeymoon wardrobe (when it comes to justification I have a deep bag of tricks!)
It’s hard not to want to keep adding DIY projects and other ideas to the day but I know that we have more than enough to be dealing with and enough money has been spent on details. Here are some of the things that have caught my eye recently:

The hangover kit as a favour is a brilliant idea; I did wonder about giving those out on Friday night but decided that would encourage naughty behaviour and pounding heads for the Saturday!
So whilst I have my mother clambering a farmer’s log pile in the rain, my sisters are wrapping twine around jars, and I am bartering with a wine merchant for his wooden boxes I just want to stop and take it all in because it has been a wonderfully exciting time with only a few minor bumps along the way.
So, 38 days until I get to drink champagne and have the best weekend with everyone I love; how amazing is that!
For the love of lace…
I am biased because I have always loved lace but it is such a wonderful way to get your wedding day looking pretty and rustic and vintage all in one piece of timeless fabric. With lace wedding dresses more popular than ever, it is also bang on trend to use lace in some way on your day.
I am seriously hankering after those lace curtains….!

Confetti Cones
All of these cones are from The Confetti Cone Company and just go to show that cones do not have to be boring.
You can personalise them or just choose a design that you love. I love the union jack ones - my patriotism is coming out again!

Eat, Drink and Be Married - Teresa & Randy
This is a wedding with a difference and I love it for that. Submitted by Michele Shore Photography who is an aspiring wedding photographer; I think she is well on her way to making this a reality.
Teresa and Randy were married in April in a friend’s lake front garden. I love that Teresa rocked a hot pink dress and all the colours involved in the day are bright.
The day followed the order of ‘Eat, Drink and Be Married’ which is a theme that I very much approve of!

Order of Service
Your Order of Service for the ceremony doesn’t have to be boring. Even if you are creating your own at home then take some ideas from the collection above.
If however, your creative juices do not flow quite so freely then companies such as In The Treehouse and Paper Monkeys can create them for you.

A champagne waterfall….has to be done at least once in your life right? Although the potential wastage of champagne does worry me!

Something Blue
Many brides try and incorporate items to match the good luck saying used in the Victorian era, ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe’.The blue part of the saying symbolised faithfulness, loyalty and purity for the Victorians and often the couple would have blue stitched onto the edge of their clothing.
Today’s bride is more likely to incorporate blue as part of her garter or even her shoes.
The images above are just to give an idea of how you could incorporate blue into your day. One of my personal favourites is by using blue glass for your vases, and of course the blue shoes!
